Mark Thomas Music has two recording studios with cottage accommodation in a
rural setting near Glastonbury in Somerset easily reached from London
Paddington by train (90 minutes) or by road ( 2 hours ), with Bristol
international airport 40 minutes away.

A full TV and film scoring service is provided ' to-picture ', including composition
of original themes and scores, demos, arranging, orchestration, music
preparation, booking of studios, hiring of musicians, singers and orchestras of
any size anywhere in the world, conducting of sessions and production of final
masters to all formats.

Studio 1 is based around a powerful Mac G5 Pro-tools HD rig Logic Pro with full '
to-picture ' facilities and mix-down to 5.1 surround. Numerous samplers, virtual
instruments and synthesisers provide the sounds for the ' virtual ' score and
large screen video projection provides the pictures. Comfortably furnished and
air conditioned the atmosphere of Studio 1 is the perfect working environment
for scoring movies, TV programmes, commercials or recording and producing
albums or spoken word projects. The live recording area can comfortably
accommodate small ensembles of instrumentalists / vocalists for overdubs.
Demos are delivered quickly by Email often the same day. Mark Thomas records
his orchestral scores in London studios such as , Abbey Road, Angel Studios and
Air Lyndhurst, choosing the studio depending on the style, scale and sonic
requirements of each individual score. Postproduction, overdubs and mix down
are usually carried out at MTM studios.

Studio 2 is a writing/editing suite that is fully compatible with Studio 1 and is
based around a Mac G5 Logic Pro system with full ' to-picture ' facilities and a
full sampling, virual instrument and synthesiser setup.

The guest accommodation is a self contained cottage with double bedroom,
kitchen, shower room with w.c, dining room/study/office, large triple aspect
lounge with open log fire.
